THE SCRAT-FUNK STORY...


What we really would like to say is that Scratters and the Funky Disco Pig are all about the funk. The funk is a very beautiful thing; I mean, not just scrat-funk, but all funk. Those who know that, know that. Funk brings these people together.

Funk is a place where mouths turn up at the corners, and after everyone has gone home, the empty room reflects on its value in the universe and knows fulfillment.

WHAT THE SCRAT-FUNK REALLY IS...


I wanted to say it's where you go to get your itches scratched, but it's more than just that. I mean, good music is more than that. It always is. Good music is so powerful that anything can happen. Scrat-funk is good music and that's not an ego-statement. I know it's good because I know how much the people who make it love it. I know how about half of the practice sessions are just as lively as the gigs are.

I know that there are bands who love music and that that very love is enough to make them do things they never did before, like hop backwards on one foot while doing karate kicks with the other, with nothing more than good luck keeping them from falling off a stage. Scrat-funk is that kind of funk, that kind of love. Scrat funk is lots of instruments because instruments are such great things. That baritone sounds so dirty I'm not sure where else my ear belongs.

Scrat-funk is a place where you can boingy-boing and know your own love. Scrat-funk is a big thank you.


ONCE UPON A TIME...


The sons of the Spanish Buffalo were wandering in the inspiration drought valley. They were looking for the new sound. They had been looking all over the country but suddenly they realized that they had to look all over the world.

They traveled to Central America first to be advised by the son of Super Pakito Chac. He told them: "Hey, serote! You gotta to follow the path I gonna show you." And so they went to Mexico. But this was not enough. This was just the first step of their spiritual quest.


Then he guided them to Cyprus and France to harvest more sounds before going back to the realm of Scrat-funk were they started cooking their own dirty funk sound that will get you toe tappin', head boppin' and booty shakin' in a jiffy. but this is another story! Want to read more? Click here !
